Ice Skating Fun at the Natural History Museum

Starting tomorrow, the Ice Skating Rink at the Natural History Museum in London will be open. This 1000 square meter rink has been open each winter for quite a few years, and is really quite organised.
If you like skating, it’s an incredible picturesque place to have some winter fun. Just check out the photos above and below! Skating lasts for just under an hour, but make sure you show up about 15 minutes ahead of time to receive your skates. (Skates are included in the price, but you can also bring your own if you wish.) The ice isn’t always picture-perfect, but the fun is just being outside on a nice winter night!
Not a skater? Then check out the Cafe Bar, located in the two-story building next to the rink. It’s been picked as one of London’s best “festive bars.” You can watch the skating from there, warm up after skating, wait for kids or friends who are skating, or get in the proper “mood” before your own skate!
Want to learn to skate? Lessons are available too, at £20 for children and £30 for adults.
Ice Skating does require a ticket, but the Cafe Bar and other activities do not require a ticket.
Tickets: Can be bought online through Ticketmaster here, or in person at the Natural History Museum.
Cost: £7.50 for children, £12 for adults
Dates: Thursday, November 8th through Sunday, January 20th.
Getting There: Take the Underground to South Kensington or Gloucester Road stations, on the Circle, District, and Piccadilly lines.
More information can be found at the Natural History Museum website here.
