November wrap-up on the London Traveler!

by Jed on November 30th, 2007

This has been a very busy month here on the London Traveler, with some quite popular posts! I wanted to take a look back and let you know what other people thought was interesting in case you missed it.

These were the most popular posts this month:

A Visitor’s Guide to London Pubs - This was a very popular post, and a bit controversial. I mentioned that tipping isn’t necessary in pubs, which is true! But please don’t think that tipping isn’t necessary anywhere… restaurant tipping is still quite common!

Translating the “Queen’s English” (aka, London slang) - This was a popular post originally written in October, but was still quite popular in November. Translating slang seems to be useful for people visiting the UK!

St. Paul’s Cathedral: A Visitor’s Guide - St. Paul’s Cathedral is simply beautiful and awe-inspiring. I’m glad that people read this post… it deserves all the attention it receives, particularly now that the multi-year renovation is wrapping up.

St. Christopher’s Place, a hidden gem - Yet another popular post from last month, it was still popular in November. St. Christopher’s Place is a beautiful little shopping and eating area just off of Oxford Street. It’s perfect for a little break from the madness of the Oxford Street crowds!

Fireworks on Guy Fawkes Day - Guy Fawkes Day is November 5th, and this post talked about details on the different fireworks displays across the city of London.

Thanks for reading the London Traveler. I hope to have even more interesting posts up for you next month!
