See Cate Blanchett and other stars at the “Elizabeth” premiere October 23rd

by Jed on October 5th, 2007

CateBlanchett.jpgThe film “Elizabeth: The Golden Age” will have its London/UK premiere on Tuesday, October 23rd at the Odeon cinema in Leicester Square. The film stars Cate Blanchett taking up the role of Queen Elizabeth once again, with co-stars Clive Owen and Geoffrey Rush. The movie was filmed at UK studios and on location throughout the UK.

Would you like to see and potentially get autographs from the film’s stars? Film premieres are a great way to see some celebrities, and enjoy a bit of the red-carpet scene. They always seem to be a fun atmosphere, and occasionally a celebrity has been known to sign autographs for literally hours outside the theatre.

Time: The event starts in early evening (~5ish) and goes for a couple of hours. If you want to get a spot right in front, I would advise arriving mid-day, around lunch-time. (There are metal barriers to hold crowds back.)

How to Get There: Leicester Square is on the Picadilly and Northern lines, and a short walk north of Trafalgar Square.

While you won’t be able to see the film that night, here’s the film’s trailer:
