What England will be doing Saturday afternoon, October 6th

by Jed on October 4th, 2007

Rugby1.jpgYou may have read my post a few weeks ago about the English Rugby exhibition at Regent’s Park. That was a send-off to the English national team as they went to compete in the 2007 Rugby World Cup.

They’ve managed to do well in the Pool stage, coming in second in Pool A to South Africa, the only team to beat them in the stage. They have now progressed to the Quarter-finals, and will be playing Australia.

Though Australia is heavily favoured to win, expect most everyone in England to be at the pub this Saturday afternoon, October 6th to watch the game. It kicks off at 2pm, so if you want to grab a decent seat be sure to arrive around 1pm or earlier. (It should also be on the BBC, so you can watch it at home if you’d like.)

With so many Australians in London, expect some enthusiastic fans on both sides for the match. (And if you don’t like rugby, everything else in the country should be much more open and accessible Saturday afternoon!)
